    “No Liverpool Care Pathway”

Dedicated to those who have lost their lives on the LIVERPOOL CARE PATHWAY and to their families who seek only truth and justice.

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon and the truth.”

This site exists because many, many people have found themselves standing in a hospital ward feeling helpless and afraid.
Not knowing what these terms mean makes relatives or friends feel hopeless; they become bystanders to what amounts to a forced and certain death. They will watch someone they love grow weaker, thinner and frailer and be compelled to stand by and witness the cries of a mum, dad or grandparent reaching out to them for help, only to see the confusion and desperation on the faces of their family.

Read these questions sent to us from the Medical Ethics Alliance.

Are you sure that death is imminent?

Can the patient give permission for the treatment proposed?

Will the treatment reduce consciousness?

What effects will the treatment have, including the combined effect of the drugs proposed?

Will you ensure that the patient will not experience thirst and can fluids be given by mouth in another way?

Will death be hastened by what is proposed?

People have asked questions, pleaded, and argued with nurses and doctors who have offered them only blank faces and thin excuses for what they said was the end of a loved one’s life. For what some eminent physicians have labelled ‘back door euthanasia.’

This site exists because those who have died need someone to speak for them and for their families. It exists to try and stop more unnecessary deaths and to give you, the relatives, something to fight with, KNOWLEDGE.
